Bursaries
A limited number of Student Bursaries are available which cover the full cost of tuition. Applicants will normally be in full time education on an appropriate music course. Applications will be considered in order of receipt, but no decisions will be made until after the early bird deadline. This allows us to consider where the greatest need for singers/players is, and how much funding is available from NEEMF (North East Early Music Forum).
Our bursary students are able to participate fully in the course, but are also expected to assist the Director and Administrators with the general running of the course. This provides a good opportunity for those interested in arts management and administration, in addition to the valuable musical experience in early and folk/traditional music. Duties will include the setting up of spaces for classes and events, artist liaison, stage management and clerical assistance.
Bursary Students are required to arrive by midday on the first day to help with the initial course set up and to allow time for a pre-course briefing.
