Bursaries for Students
A limited number of Student Bursaries normally covering the full cost of tuition and accommodation are available. Applicants will be in full time education on an appropriate music course. Applications will be considered in order of receipt, but no decisions will be made until after the early bird deadline. This allows us to consider where the greatest need for singers/players is, and how much funding is available from NEEMF (North East Early Music Forum).
Our bursary students are able to participate fully in the course, but are also expected to assist the Director and Administrator with the general running of the course. This provides a good opportunity for those interested in arts management and administration, in addition to the valuable musical experience in early and folk/traditional music. Duties may include the setting up of spaces for classes and events, artist liaison, stage management and clerical assistance.
After the course, you will also be asked to write a review of your experience which may be published, in part or in full, on our website. It will be useful for future students to hear about what you get up to during the course.
Bursary Students are required to arrive by midday on the first day to help with the initial course set up and to allow time for a pre-course briefing.
